Maintaining a consistent and thorough oral hygiene routine is key to keeping a healthy mouth. This is to help combat bad breath, plaque, tooth decay and ultimately, tooth loss. In order to achieve a good level of oral hygiene, it is recommended that your teeth are cleaned by a professional Dentist or Oral Hygienist at least twice a year. Such measures will help prevent more complex dental treatments being carried out in the future. As the old saying goes, “prevention is better than cure”!

Estimated treatment time: 30 minutes
Includes soft tissue assessment, gum disease screening, oral hygiene assessment & advice, ultrasonic and/or hand scaling, calculus & plaque removal, prophy polish and dietary advice.
Estimated treatment time: 45 minutes
Includes a full mouth ultrasonic scaling to remove deep and hardened deposits of calculus, stain removal. This option is great for people who have excessive tooth staining.
Estimated treatment time: Between 45 and 60 minutes
Includes detailed pocket charting, non-surgical deep-cleaning using ultrasonic techniques to remove plaque and calculus from pockets, oral hygiene advice, periodontal disease stabilisation. An initial assessment is required before this treatment can take place.
Estimated treatment time: 60 minutes
Includes detailed pocket charting, half mouth non-surgical deep cleaning with ultrasonic tools to stabilise periodontal disease. Often requires follow-up appointments.
Estimated treatment time: 45 minutes
Includes soft tissue assessment, gum disease screening, oral hygiene assessment and advice. As ultrasonic scalers can’t be used around implants, we have the instruments needed to remove plaque and calculus. Also includes detailed pocket charting around each implant, if and when required. Recommended as an annual appointment.
Patients signed up to our Practice Membership Plan will have either 2 or 4 annual dental hygiene appointments included in their agreement. With each patient’s case differing, it’s difficult to give an accurate indication of treatment costs without seeing one of our clinicians for a consultation. However, for an indication of our prices, please visit our treatment fees page. We also offer flexible finance options to spread the cost into manageable monthly payments.
